Each fork shows a Bush Clover (Hagi \/ 萩) leaf motif on the burgundy handle. The set includes the original presentation box and the informational booklet.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe text on the label on top of the box reads 玉虫塗 (Tamamushi-nuri). According to the leaflet Tamamushi Lacquerware was developed in Sendai during the early Showa period using silver powder under clear lacquer to achieve its signature iridescent shine.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCondition Notes:\u003c\/strong\u003e The forks are in unused vintage condition. They are lightweight with a smooth, glossy lacquer finish.
