Hand-carved Ainu pendant necklace from Hokkaido, Japan. It features a stylized profile merged with a large floral motif and a pierced central hole. The front displays deep chisel-cut relief, while the reverse is flat with a dark matte surface showing fine linear grain. The wooden circular medallion is suspended from a dark gunmetal curb chain with a spring-ring clasp.
Condition: Very good vintage condition, there is a small chip in the dark background, not immediately noticable though while worn (please see images for details).
