This refined brooch is hand-carved from tsuge wood (Japanese boxwood), a material traditionally prized in Japan for its fine grain, durability, and ability to hold precise detail. The design depicts overlapping leaves.
The reverse is fitted with a metal pin clasp, securely mounted and suitable for regular wear. Despite its sculptural depth, the brooch remains lightweight and comfortable on garments.
