A charming vintage Japanese Hakata-ori purse featuring a traditional woven fabric with floral patterns. It has a metal clasp frame and a soft yellow interior with two compartments for small essentials. Perfect as a coin purse or for carrying delicate items.
Hakata-ori (博多織) is a traditional Japanese textile from Fukuoka, known for its tightly woven, stiff silk fabric with geometric patterns. Originally used for obi (kimono sashes), it combines durability with elegant design, often featuring Buddhist motifs like stripes and floral crests. The craft has over 770 years of history and is recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan.
