Vintage pair of Japanese creative kokeshi was handcrafted in Aomori from regional Hiba wood by artisan Isamu Ise when he was 67 years old. Both figures feature clean turned silhouettes, serene painted facial features, the kanji for "Hope" (希望) inscribed down the front columns, and stamped accents along the lower rims. Each base is hand-signed with the maker’s name and age.
