Japanese beaded bag in a white and soft colours palette. It features a detailed floral pattern made of tiny glass beads, a metall frame with a classic kiss-lock clasp, and a flexible beaded handle. The interior is lined with smooth, lightwhite/beige fabric and includes a small slip pocket.
Most vitnage Japanese beaded bag date back to the late 1950s through the 1970s, a period when they became highly popular after Princess Michiko carried one for her 1959 wedding. The bags were handmade by skilled kimono and obi belts embroiderers who used a special technique of sewing glass seed with waxed thread to make the structure extra strong. Made with high-quality, uniform Japanese glass beads, these bags are known for keeping their shape and shine over decades.

Condition: very good vintage condition. There are some stains on the metal parts and tiny spots inside. The beaded pattern is in excellent condition.
