This elegant vintage Japanese sencha tea set originates from Ōkawachiyama (Imari) and was produced at the Tarōzaemon Kiln (太郎左衛門窯), following the historic Ichinose Old Kiln (市ノ瀬古窯) tradition. According to the original leaflet included with the set, these pieces were handcrafted using traditional Imari techniques, with a strong emphasis on natural materials, balanced form, and everyday usability.
The set features a beautifully coordinated botanical design, inspired by classical Imari aesthetics. The decoration is calm and refined rather than ornate, reflecting the philosophy described in the leaflet: ceramics made for daily life, yet grounded in long-standing craftsmanship and regional tradition.
