This elegant vintage brooch is crafted from fine Japanese Kiyomizu-yaki (清水焼) porcelain, a celebrated ceramic tradition from Kyoto known for its refined artistry and delicate hand-painted decoration.
Kiyomizu-yaki has been produced in Kyoto since the Edo period and is valued for its craftsmanship and painterly surface decoration. This brooch reflects that heritage in miniature form — combining traditional ceramic artistry with wearable design.
The reverse side is fitted with a secure metal pin clasp. A small original label remains on the back.
