Beautiful set of four handcrafted Japanese tea coasters made using Kabazaiku (樺細工) — the traditional birch bark craft of Akita Prefecture. Each coaster features a warm natural wood grain and delicate inlaid motifs of fuki (butterbur), ume (plum blossom), and momiji (maple leaf), all crafted from fine birch bark.
Kabazaiku is a centuries-old craft developed in Kakunodate, Akita, known for its refined texture and deep natural sheen. These coasters perfectly capture the harmony of nature and craftsmanship, ideal for tea ceremonies or as a thoughtful gift for lovers of Japanese design.
