This is a set of three vintage Japanese sake cups, known as guinomi, crafted in the traditional Karatsu-ware (Karatsu-yaki) style. Karatsu pottery is one of Japan’s most famous ceramic traditions, originating from Saga Prefecture. It is loved for its "earthy" feel and its simple, understated beauty.
These cups are featuring a warm, sandy-brown glaze with hand-painted iron-oxide designs. The artwork shows a minimalist "grass" or "reed" motif. The glaze has a slight gloss but keeps a natural, stony texture that feels great in the hand.
- Size (guinomi): Diameter approx. 5.4 cm, height approx. 4 cm
