This beautiful Sosaku (Creative) Kokeshi is a masterpiece by the highly acclaimed artist Kazuo Takamizawa. Reflecting his vibrant style, the body is finely decorated with rich colours. The kimono showcases a stunning contrast of deep red and warm harvest oranges, with textured patterns achieved through expert wood-incising techniques. This blend of bold color and traditional woodworking, topped with a serene, minimalist face, makes the piece a perfect representation of the creative diversity that defined the Sosaku movement. The doll features the iconic Okapa style, characterized by a charming black bob haircut.
