This charming vintage pendant features a round piece of Kiyomizu-yaki (清水焼) porcelain from Kyoto, set in a silver-tone frame with a matching chain. The porcelain is painted in classic blue-and-white underglaze decoration, showing a small hand-painted motif with beautiful depth and rich cobalt tones.
Condition: The pendant is in excellent condition. The tiny dark spot in the center is part of the natural firing process of underglaze porcelain, where the cobalt pigment can create a small concentration point during firing. It is not a flaw, but a normal characteristic of hand-painted ceramics.
Signature: The back of the porcelain is signed 清水焼 (Kiyomizu-yaki), confirming its origin from Kyoto’s traditional pottery workshops.
