A lovely Kiyomizu-yaki (清水焼) lidded ceramic container from Kyoto with a mapple leaves ("momiji") motif, finished in a soft white glaze with a gentle, natural surface texture. The lid is topped with a ceramic loop tied with a silk cord.
Height approx. 9.5 cm, Diameter approx. 11 cm.
This versatile piece can be used for:
Incense (especially loose granules or cones)
Small sweets (higashi, kompeitō)
Jewelry / keepsakes
Tea ceremony accessories (komamono)
Or simply as a decorative object in a Japanese-style interior.
