This beautiful vintage Japanese yunomi cup is crafted in Kiyomizu-yaki (清水焼), a renowned Kyoto ceramic tradition prized for its delicate glazing and refined hand-painted details. The body is decorated with vivid cobalt-blue geometric patterns and vertical floral panels with red, blue, and gold highlights. A rare feature is the sculptural red ceramic handle on the side, accented with a small white sphere, forming a cross-like shape — purely decorative and adding charm and visual interest. The cup is signed on the base and comes in its original tomobako (storage box), labeled 湯呑 (yunomi, tea cup).
