This vintage Japanese Sosaku kokeshi doll features a rich, dark finish adorned with delicate red and white floral details and a distinct red hair bow. Based on close stylistic comparison to known works, this unsigned piece is attributed to the renowned creative kokeshi artist Hajime Miyashita はじめ宮下 (1940 - 2006). The doll beautifully captures the gentle, contemplative facial expression and elegant craftsmanship characteristic of his mid-century designs.
