A vintage Japanese lacquerware (合成漆器) tea ceremony set from the Showa era, consisting of a round serving tray and five matching coasters (chaku).
Each coaster features one of the “Five Gentlemen” (五君子) motifs, a classic theme in Japanese aesthetics symbolizing elegance and noble character:
- Pine (松) – endurance
- Bamboo (竹) – integrity
- Plum (梅) – renewal
- Chrysanthemum (菊) – grace
- Iris (菖蒲) – refinement
The surface has a deep red-brown lacquer finish, giving a subtle reflective sheen.
Comes in the original storage box (TRADEMARK LINDEN).
Unused long-term storage item; slight aging to the box.

- Era: Showa (likely 1960s–1980s)
- Tray: approx. 30.3 cm diameter, approx. 2 cm height
- Small plates: approx. 11.6 cm diameter × approx. 1.7 cm height
