This vintage Sosaku Kokeshi is a handcrafted work by the renowned artist Kojo Tanaka (1910–1996), a Prime Minister Award winner. The piece is made from light-toned wood and features a distinctive carved bob hairstyle topped with a two-sphere ornament. The body is decorated with hand-painted plum blossoms (ume) in orange and white, symbolizing resilience and spring.
Condition: Very good vintage condition, no major noticeable wear (please see images for details).
Features: Stamp at the bottom.
