This is a large vintage Sosaku (creative) kokeshi doll featuring a wide, rounded head and a tapered, vase-shaped body. The lower section and the collar are finished in a dark orange and brown marbled glossy lacquer, while the head retains a natural wood tone. The face is hand-painted with narrow eyes and simple features, topped with a red floral motif and black hair.

Condition: Good vintage condition. There is ascratch on the head section (see detailed photos).
