This round Japanese brooch and/or pendant for a necklace features a mesmerizing marbled textile design in shades of blue, pink, and yellow, set in a silver-tone metal frame. The back includes a pin clasp for secure fastening and an inscription in Japanese kanji.
Suminagashizome (墨流し染め) is a traditional Japanese textile dyeing technique that creates marbled patterns by floating ink on water and transferring it onto fabric. It dates back to the Heian period and is known for its fluid, organic designs, resembling flowing ink or smoke.
